INTRO
Long before Jesus arrived in Bethlehem, God had already set His rescue plan in motion. He revealed glimpses of the Savior who would come, not just to change history, but to redeem it. Jesus did not appear out of nowhere. He came as the fulfillment of God’s unfolding story — the Prophesied One. This devotional will walk you through five key moments, revealing how Jesus fulfilled what was written of Him.
You’ll begin by meeting a different kind of King. Not a warrior on a warhorse, but a humble man riding a donkey — the kind of King who wins by laying down His life, not taking others’. You’ll sit at the table of the Passover, watching as Jesus redefines an ancient meal to show that He is the Lamb — the One whose body and blood would bring freedom from sin and death.
Then you’ll come face to face with suffering. Isaiah foretold it, and Jesus bore it. But He wasn’t just wounded — He was lifted up. Like the bronze serpent in the wilderness, Jesus was raised on a cross so that those who look to Him can live, healed and whole.
Finally, we arrive at the empty tomb. Death, our greatest enemy, has been swallowed up in victory. The risen Jesus stands as proof that God keeps His promises — and that no darkness is final when Christ is involved.
This is the Jesus we follow. The Humble King. The Passover Lamb. The Suffering Servant. The Lifted One. The Risen Lord.
Our prayer is that this week leads you to worship more deeply, surrender more fully, and live with greater hope. He is the One who was promised — and He has come.
