Michael Flores, one of our worship leaders at Bayou City Fellowship, was stricken by chronic illness. Unable to sing or play music full time any longer, Michael fell into depression and confusion as to why God had stripped him of the ability to use his gifts. Only after surrendering everything did Michael figure out the source of his illness and become healed. Since this trial, Michael has devoted his musical gifting to the Lord completely and was led to meet his wife, Caroline, who actually had a similar story. The Lord used Michael’s experience to heal Caroline of her own illness before they even knew each other. Now they praise God for blessing them with more they could have asked for.
