+Community Groups: We will be launching Fall Community Groups the first week of September. Visit the Community table this Sunday morning for new information regarding where groups are meeting around the city. You can find the locations, days, and times of our groups on our website http://bayoucityfellowship.com/about-us/community-groups/ with an opportunity to register online!
+Compassion Sunday: Sunday, August 26th during the service, we will be sharing about our new sister partner church in El Salvador! We will also have opportunity to partner with Compassion International to give monthly sponsorship to children in our sister church community! There will be opportunity to sponsor our won child through Compassion International.

+NEW 5th & 6th Grade Class: This Sunday we are launching a new 5th & 6th Grade class! These students will meet every week during the 11:00 service in Room P203.
+Promotion Sunday This Sunday, August 19: The following age groups will be affected.
+Children who have turned 2 by September 1, 2012 will join the 2′s class.
+Children who have turned 3 by September 1, 2012 will join the Preschool class.
+Children who have turned 5 and are entering kindergarten this Fall will join the Elementary class
+Children entering 5th & 6th grade this Fall will join our new 5th & 6th Grade Class
Bayou City Fellowship Mobilization
+Teacher Appreciation: We are still looking for more volunteers to help with Teacher Appreciation this Friday, August 17th. If you can serve in this capacity please email Erin at pineshadows@bayocityfellowship.com.
+ We are looking for two people to help set up snacks in the teachers lounge (9AM)
+Two people to help clean up the teachers lounge (2PM)
+People to email short, encouraging notes to put in frames on the tables around the snacks
+Pine Shadows School Supply Drive: We are collecting quality backpacks and school supplies for Pine Shadows Elementary. You can purchase and bring supplies to the main lobby. Contact Michelle MacLean with any questions: mommamacclan@me.com.
+Global Outreach Team to East Asia- October 4-14th: This is the last week to get your Global Outreach Application completed for East Asia. Applications are due this Sunday, August 19th and training starts the following Sunday. Please email Alicia@bayoucityfellowship.com for more information.

+Montrose Street Reach on September 5: Meet there (1110 Lovett Blvd, Houston, Tx 77006 –near Montrose and Westheimer) at 5:45pm. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to come and serve with us.
+BCF Students Community Group: We will launch, Sunday, September 9 for grades 7-12 and will meet from 6-8p at the Parkers house (2115 Elmgate Drive, Houston, TX 77080).

Bayou City Fellowship Women
+Hope – A BCF Ministry for Single Moms: Single moms of all ages are invited to join us for a time of study in God’s Word and fellowship beginning September 9th on Sunday mornings during the second service. Meeting room TBA. Hope and Help for the Single Mom is a Bible study designed for single moms – by a single mom. The twenty-one scriptural principles encourage single moms toflourish spiritually in the midst of their circumstances.
